So, picked up a new Asus transformer tablet powered by Android Honeycomb OS. No 3G, just WiFi. Nice machine. It snaps into the optional keyboard which has another battery so it runs longer than my attention span. The keyboard and tablet are hinged so it closes like a mini-laptop. Got one for wife too so I don't have to learn 2 different devices. No GlassEye but with Splash the tablet becomes a remote to the desktop or laptop. You can play a DVD on the laptop and watch it on the tablet in the other room with a pair of earbuds.
Does not have eleventy billion apps like ipad but then I don't have that many brain cells to devote to so many things. Time will tell on OS and machine quality.
