Greetings, to all you Glassers who are old users and new, to this Forum program. There's a Welcome BLOG message that talks about the rationale behind this unconventional Format we're doing on the New Silicon Folly. Please read it and if they provide interest, keep up with the BLOG posts. They're the WHY part of the How/Why here.
This is an open Glass Discussion Forum without borders. There are no pre-set categories or sub-boards. That's going to be a natural progression once you begin using the Forum. You're not limited to talking about just one kind of glass work in any message. Meander around and join any topic….start a new one. Use the "subscription" feature and the "search" to keep up with previous topics. Otherwise, just do what we do on any discussion board…TALK…TEACH…LEARN…Have FUN. We're together on a forum because Glass is our Passion, so BE passionate. Celebrate your victories. Commiserate about the failures and get advice along the way. Feel free to disagree with the other members, if you must (it will be pretty civilized because Webbie won't make me a WAR Board ). We're aiming for informality on this Forum. Remember that Posting begets Posting. Topics and sub-forums dry up when the messages slow. If you water this place with posts, it will grow and so will the pleasure of using it.
To learn about the Forum Features and Use tips, starting with Registration, consult the permanent messages at the top of the Discussion Forum. While you're up there, look around and join the discussions.
I'm going to open that BIG CAN of WORMS called a Traditional Stained Glass Gallery…at last. It joins the Hot Glass ( including torchwork) and Stone/Mosaic Galleries. In the past, when I was manually entering the Gallery Pictures sent in e-Mail, it was a true ordeal requiring 6 separate steps for each one. Traditional Glass artisans deserve to be represented and now the picture addition is very easy and quick. There's not a lot in the T. Glass section-yet. I know…I know, T-Glass galleries take on a life of their own and some get HUGE. There are currently 600 entries Total in the 4 Galleries. I know this because I had to manually add those titles to each one. It was a labor of love, I was totally amazed all over again at the quality of work done there as I viewed it in sequence. The Galleries have a SEARCH feature (LOVE that) as well as a slideshow in either Fullscreen or Thumbnail sizes. I made good use of that during the entries and you're going to NEED it. Enjoy!
Send me Pictures you want to enter in any of the Galleries. Include YOUR identity (real or alias) and a brief name for the piece.
