Sorry about that, Rebecca. Traditionally the first post on a forum by the Admin is designed to explain the Forum features and give a general Welcome. It needs to stay at the top and stand alone. Only way to do that is to PIN and LOCK it. You did the ideal thing and started a topic of your own where people can jump in and say, Hello, if they wish. This Board has no topic borders or pre-set categories. It's designed for people to jump in and out of discussions or start new ones. This is a good reason to post a topic title that will let others know what's in it. You're doing just fine. Good to see you and the friends who have joined us.

Hi, I've been lurking for many years, but decided to join in the new format. I do 'traditional' stained glass, mostly just as a hobbyist, but sell at Art Shows and Craft Faires too, to make room to make more. Barbara

Hello, Glasslady. Congratulations on your emergence from the "Lurker's" closet. We love our lurkers. How else can you get 147 people viewing a message that has about 3 replies? I was hoping that a new format would stimulate some of the watchers to post and join the conversations. Your input is VERY important. It's the life's blood of a forum system.
Rebecca how are you? Still have your nice shop? I am now a grandma to 2 girls and 1 boy. You know how they say after you have a baby it straightens everything out? Well my youngest had IVF and 15 months later had another baby! Whew I now know why you have kids when you are young.

Yes, I still have the shop. My boys grew up and got married, but still no grandkids for me.
I'm here! I know SO many of you, even though you don't know me. I lurked forever, but learned SO much from all of you. I am very sad tonight to hear about Tony. I never met him of course, but he was such an awesome part of our world… RIP Tony Banfield…. We'll see you later!
So nice to 'see' all of you guys still hanging out at SF! I've been out of my studio and off the boards for a while (had 4 kids!). Goal for this winter is to get back into the score of things (ha ha).
Hi there: Before we moved, I belonged to this forum and checked it out constantly. Moving meant a new email address and no time for a long time to start watching this board again. Couldn't remember who I used to be on the forum so just became a new person.
